Remember, these aren’t “letters” so much as they are pictures. You just need to follow the grid. It’s VERY LITERAL and there is no “magic” or deceit involved. If you see 10 boxes across then you have 10 base strings. If you want to flip the grid and it has 12 boxes well then you have 12 base strings. 1 box = 1 string 10 boxes = 10 strings Number of Boxes = Number of Strings + one string for the foreground/weaving string. ■ LENGTHS- The strings should be about 35 inches for the base strings (65 if you’re folding the base strings in half …

@Fallon15Lee I don’t do alphas on video. They take a very long time to make because the patterns consist of hundreds of little knots depending on the one you pick. Even something simple like a nike swoosh may take about 2 to 3 hours to film/make. Just check the videos on alphas and how to read them and you should be able to find a grid to follow on friendship-bracelets(dot)net.

@FknnJuliee I really don’t do them anymore… these take hours and I can’t with my carpal tunnel. That said… you may be able to check etsy for custom name bracelets. You may find someone who can do it for you there or maybe even friendship-bracelets(dot)net if you start a thread.

@Firefreeze0916 Maybe.. but it wouldn’t look straight like this since regular patterns slant and cause a ‘zipper edge’ on patterns… that and you’d probably need to substitute in the string you want to make your lettering with since using what is available would take up a ton of string as well as blend into the bracelet.

@caoimhebrawn use a flat iron and iron out the bracelet. allways works as long as you dont keep it on for too long so it burns it. just treat the bracelet as if you were ironing clothes.

@caoimhebrawn I know what you mean, you gotta secure the top like she said by using tape or pin it to your pants…etc and then knot as straight as you can. That part when you pull the knot all the way to the top is when you make sure it’s done straight. Hope I helped.
